We're excited to launch our new WEIRDDDDD Book Review Competition!

Read something over the summer you loved, hated, or can’t stop thinking about? We’re inviting Monash students to submit creative book reviews in any style and medium — poetic, dramatic, analytical, chaotic — the choice is yours.

Fanart, video rants, poems, whatever you want! Submissions can be in any format, as long as they fit on an A4 sheet or can be accessed via QR code.

• Winners and Runners-Up will be selected through a combination of Popular Vote and Staff Choice.
• Submit entries by 15 March 2026.
• Results will be announced in Week 5.
• Selected entries will be displayed at SURLY.

Prizes:

Winner: SURLY merch pack and “Fool: the Game”

Runner up: SURLY merch pack
