Monash Student Association (MSA) is a student organisation run by students for students on the Clayton campus of Monash University. Wholefoods is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant and café. Wholefoods requires new Coordinators to work on a casual basis in Wholefoods predominantly
during Monash University’s academic periods.

As a student organisation of Monash University, MSA provides services and support to the over 40,000 students on the Clayton campus. 

Wholefoods is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant and Cafe.  It is made up of staff members and members who volunteer their time.  

Wholefoods employs coordinators to support the day-to-day running of Wholefoods.  We are currently looking for Coordinators for 2025. 

The Coordinators are responsible for the management of the related operational tasks within the Wholefoods vegan and vegetarian restaurant including but not limited to menu planning, stock ordering and control, supplier liaison, catering and functions, and staff and volunteer training, induction and rostering. 

The position will require working predominantly during Monash University semester times, and will also require the incumbent to work in the weeks before the start of semesters. 

Successful candidates should also be able to exhibit an awareness of vegan/vegetarian and cruelty free products and demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of Food Safety and OHS requirements. 

They must have completed or be willing to complete a Food Safety Supervisors Handling Certificate.  

 Please note that Wholefoods is not open during semester breaks and as such the staff do not work during these times. 

To be successful you will require people management experience, customer service experience, preferably experience within Wholefoods and food handling certification.  

You must have a high level of interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.   Additionally, you must work well in a team environment with student office-bearers, managers and staff. 

The role is casual, and paid at Restaurant Industry Award Level 5.
