Results and Assessment
DO YOU HAVE AN ACADEMIC PROBLEM OR ISSUE THAT YOU NEED TO SOLVE RIGHT NOW?
- Supplementary assessment/exams
- Supplementary assessments are awarded automatically. If you are not awarded a supplementary assessment and disagree with your final result (in most cases) you must first obtain exam viewing/ assessment feedback before making a complaint regarding your final result. Please book your exam viewing immediately as some faculties have strict cut off dates.
- If you don't want to sit a supplementary exam and wish to see your grade it is best to opt-out of a supplementary exam within 5 Uni working days of results release date so your result can be released as soon as possible.
- Apply to remove a Fail Grade Change and/or Fee return
- You may apply for both a Withdrawn Grade (WDN) and for your money back in the same application.
- IMPORTANT - Withdrawn Grades (applications due within 10 Uni working days of results);
- Requests for a review or remark of your assignments
-
Before making a complaint about an exam/assessment mark you must obtain feedback. For exam viewing and/or feedback carefully read the following information.
There may be cut-off periods for applying for exam viewing and/or assessment feedback.
See here for your Faculty's process. Note that for fail grades, in the 'Marking and Feedback Procedure' it states: 'All major assessments tasks, including scheduled final assessments, with a fail grade must be double marked by the teaching faculty before the result is finalised.
4.1.1 Double marking is an independent process completed by a second marker who does not have access to the grades or comments of the original marker. Double markers must have the appropriate level of qualification, discipline knowledge and experience, as well as access to the marking guide and/or rubric for the assessment task.
4.1.2 Where double marking is impractical, the assessment can be second marked. Second marking is an independent marking completed by a second marker who has access to the grades and comments of the first marker. Second markers must have the appropriate level of qualification, discipline knowledge and experience.'
