When Aidan, the world’s most hopeless human, is lost in the Sumatran Rainforest, he comes across four animals who could either be his chance for survival... or his demise. Orangutan, Viper, Cochoa and Gibbon are forced to make a choice: take pity on the human, or leave him for dead. Or as Viper gleefully suggests… kill him!

The World Approaches is a brand new play by Luca Edwards that explores the relationship between humanity and nature. The disastrous impacts of societies on the natural world are framed through Edwards’ fast-paced, quick-witted fusion of satire, tragedy, and poignant poetry.

This original, thought-provoking piece will leave you ruminating; “Whooooo’s left in the rainforest?”
