2023 – Trail Mix, a new work by Sam Pringle

Rhea is a new admission at a young adult psychiatric ward. Not her ideal situation. And she’s turning 21 in a few days.
Follow her journey as she navigates this unfamiliar environment, and the patients and nurses within it. Over the course of three days they engage in (sub-par) therapy groups, attend doctor’s visits, and face the world’s worst apple crumble! Life in the ward isn’t easy, but it’s the smallest moments that can make all the difference. Each patient must find their own little ways of getting through it and looking onwards, towards life outside the ward’s walls.
Rooted in realism, Trail Mix is a profound and captivating modern-day reflection of the mental health care system, and the beauty of the small moments of happiness people in it can find.
